It is now possible to purchase laptops with NVIDIA’s RTX 4000 range of graphics cards.
NVIDIA has announced a new range of laptop graphics cards at CES 2023, claiming that it is the company's biggest generational leap ever for laptops. The new Ada Lovelace architecture is said to offer up to three times the efficiency of previous models while maintaining high speeds.
The new range includes five GPU options, starting with the budget-friendly RTX 4050 with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM and ranging up to the high-end RTX 4090 with 16GB of VRAM. The RTX 4070 is said to offer performance similar to the RTX 3080 desktop card, but with one-third of its power consumption.
Laptops with the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 will be available from February 8th and are expected to start at $2,000, while those with the RTX 4070, 4060, and 4050 will be available from February 22nd and start at $1,000.
